• Leading, growing, and developing a high-performing cross-functional engineering team responsible for the end-to-end biometric authentication product — from mobile SDKs to backend infrastructure. • Defining the team's structure and evolution as it scales, establishing strong engineering practices, clear ownership, and measurable delivery outcomes. • Owning the end-to-end delivery of bioauth product features — including iOS, Android, and Web SDKs, backend services for face retrieval and matching at large-scale, and integration with ML models in production. • Building and scaling high-performance infrastructure for biometric operations: face encoding storage, fast retrieval systems, matching pipelines, and real-time liveness verification. • Partnering with Product leadership to define authentication strategy, influence technical architecture, and ensure go-to-market readiness. • Driving initiatives that bring core biometric capabilities in-house, reducing third-party dependencies and increasing control over performance, cost, and innovation velocity. • Collaborating with Data Science teams to productionize ML models — integrating face recognition, liveness detection, and anti-spoofing models into mobile and backend systems. • Ensuring operational excellence: building robust monitoring, observability, performance optimization, and incident response practices across all systems. • Working with Legal and Compliance to ensure privacy-first architecture, GDPR compliance, and responsible handling of biometric data. • Building a team culture centered on technical excellence, collaboration, ownership, and customer impact.
Job Requirements
- You bring strong technical leadership in software engineering, mobile development, or platform engineering — and are passionate about building production systems that solve real-world identity and trust challenges.
- You've built or led teams responsible for end-to-end product delivery, including mobile SDKs, and backend services
- You're comfortable in high-growth environments and have experience designing systems that scale with product adoption — both technically and organizationally.
- You balance technical depth with people leadership, and can guide teams through ambiguity while maintaining velocity and quality.
- You know how to work with cross-functional teams (Product, Data Science, Platform, Security, Legal) to ship complex products in regulated environments.
- You're excited about working in a regulated domain, collaborating with legal and compliance partners to build privacy-preserving, secure experiences.

Role Description As the Senior Manager, Platform Engineering at Arc'teryx, you will be leading and managing multiple teams of Platform engineers in the design, development, maintenance and support of our platforms and systems. In this role, you will use your advanced technical skills and expertise in platform engineering to guide the teams and ensure that work is completed efficiently and meets our high standards.
