Core Systems Automation Engineer – L1
Intermedia Cloud Communications
• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for infrastructure and operations • Create, modify, and maintain scripts using **PowerShell** (required), **Python**, and **Ansible** • Apply **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** principles to system configuration and deployment • Maintain and enhance monitoring and alerting platforms (Grafana, Zabbix) • Integrate systems using APIs (REST, JSON, YAML) • Support virtualization platforms including **VMware** and **Hyper-V** • Troubleshoot complex system, performance, and automation issues in production environments • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and platform improvements • Maintain source control using **Git** and contribute to CI/CD pipelines where applicable • Document systems, processes, and automation workflows
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong experience with **Linux and Windows Server administration**
- Hands-on experience with **automation and scripting** (PowerShell required; Python or Ansible preferred)
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
- Experience supporting **production infrastructure environments**
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with **AWX, Kubernetes, or Docker**
- Familiarity with **CI/CD pipelines** (e.g., GitLab CI)
- Experience with advanced monitoring platforms (VictoriaMetrics, Telegraf)
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as **AWS** or **Azure**
