About the Role At ClassWallet, we are redefining how public funds reach the people who need them. We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Tech Lead to serve as the primary architect and visionary of our data platform. This is a role for a proactive technical leader who views data as a foundational strategic asset, not just a series of reports.  Reporting to the Director of Architecture, you will own the critical intersection of data engineering and business insight, driving the continuous modernization and hardening of our data systems at every layer. Your work will ensure that our platform remains a source of truth, maintaining the highest levels of reliability and governance for our government partners. You will work as a high-impact leader to our engineering teams and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to align our overarching data strategy with deep, architectural implementation.

• Dashboard Development & Reporting: Design, build, and optimize interactive dashboards and visualizations that support manufacturing operations, production performance, supply chain, maintenance, and quality metrics. • Data Modeling & ETL: Develop and maintain data models, datasets, and semantic layers to support efficient dashboard performance. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing leaders, plant managers, operations teams, quality engineers, and executives to understand business needs. • Data Governance & Maintenance: Maintain BI tools, datasets, permissions, and refresh schedules.

• Design and develop high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards that align to business goals and stakeholder needs. • Translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions, including dashboards, scorecards, KPI tracking, and ad-hoc reporting. • Create and maintain reusable Power BI assets (measure libraries, templates, report standards, certified datasets). • Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models (datasets) using best practices (star schema, proper relationships, optimized DAX). • Build and optimize DAX measures, calculations, and model performance to ensure fast, reliable reporting experiences. • Partner with Data Engineering and IT teams to define data requirements and improve data quality and accessibility. • Ensure consistency of KPI definitions, business logic, and metric interpretation across dashboards and stakeholders. • Contribute to and support a structured approach to certified dashboards/datasets, KPI documentation, and reporting governance. • Establish and maintain strong documentation, including metric definitions, refresh cadence, and data lineage. • Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) and access control structures aligned to business and security requirements. • Ensure dashboards follow data handling, privacy, and compliance requirements as defined by internal governance and security teams. • Provide production support for BI solutions, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and continuous enhancement. • Monitor and improve performance, refresh reliability, and user experience. • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency via automation, self-service enablement, and reduction of recurring manual reporting requests. • Act as a trusted partner to business leaders, supporting prioritization, planning, and reporting roadmap discussions. • Mentor junior BI developers/analysts and support standardization of development practices across the team. • Contribute to process maturity, including intake/triage, requirements definition, and delivery best practices.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and gather requirements for Epic reporting solutions. • Design, develop, and maintain custom reports within the Epic reporting framework, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data. • Utilize Epic's reporting tools to create and enhance reports based on end-user needs. • Work with Epic analysts and end users to troubleshoot and resolve reporting functionality or data integrity issues. • Collaborate with the Data and Analytics team to integrate Epic reporting solutions with other systems and data sources. • Provide training and support to end users on utilizing and interpreting Epic reports. • Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and enhancements related to Epic reporting.
