Document Controller – MEP
Perle Systems
• Manage and control all MEP-related documents (shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, method statements, test reports, as-built drawings, O&M manuals). • Ensure proper version control, numbering, and distribution of documents to relevant teams, consultants, and authorities. • Prepare, compile, and submit material submittals, shop drawings, and technical packages for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting) to consultants and authorities (DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence). • Track document status, approvals, rejections, and comments using document management systems (Aconex, Procore, or similar). • Maintain accurate document registers, transmittals, and logs for MEP drawings and correspondence. • Coordinate with MEP engineers, site teams, and subcontractors to collect updated documents and resolve discrepancies. • Ensure all documents comply with project specifications, ISO 9001 standards, and UAE authority requirements. • Prepare and organize handover documentation packages including as-built drawings, test certificates, and O&M manuals. • Conduct regular document audits and ensure traceability for quality assurance and client audits. • Support project closeout by compiling final MEP documentation and obtaining necessary approvals.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–6 years of document control experience in MEP construction projects in UAE (high-rise / commercial / villa preferred).
- Proficiency in document management platforms (Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of MEP documentation processes (submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, as-builts).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and version control discipline.
- Good understanding of DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and Dubai Green Building Regulations documentation requirements.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word) and basic AutoCAD/Revit viewing knowledge.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
