• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports • Create and optimize data models and DAX measures • Implement best practices for visuals, filters, drilldowns, and report performance • Publish and manage reports in the Power BI Service, including workspaces and access control • Troubleshoot data, refresh, and performance issues • Enhance and support existing dashboards • Build, test, and deploy Power Automate cloud flows • Automate approvals, notifications, data movement, and business processes • Integrate flows with Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and Excel • Implement error handling, monitoring, and basic logging • Support and improve existing automations • Take ownership of dashboard and automation requests from build through release • Support production Power BI reports and Power Automate flows • Maintain basic documentation for dashboards, datasets, and flows • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to refine requirements into working solutions

• Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure, networking, and database systems to ensure high availability and performance. • Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard our systems against vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards. • Manage and refine CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and smooth software deployments. • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools to support internal team operations and decision-making. • Debug and resolve complex technical issues, providing hands-on support for environment setup and system optimization. • Develop and maintain tools and processes to enhance system performance and reliability. • Work closely with software engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operational support for new features. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent and reproducible development environments. • Participate in incident response efforts, helping to minimize downtime and ensure quick recovery from system disruptions. • Create and maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and configurations to ensure accessibility and knowledge sharing within the team. • Perform regular audits and updates to ensure adherence to industry standards, such as ISO or SOC compliance.

• Architect, design, and implement secure, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure solutions to support a rapidly growing product. • Design and implement backend and frontend services, APIs, and data pipelines to support AI-driven workflows. • Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to testing and production deployment. • Develop and maintain automation through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines. • Monitor, optimize, and scale our cloud infrastructure for performance and reliability. • Establish and enforce best practices for observability, logging, and alerting. • Lead and participate in incident response, troubleshooting complex issues and driving postmortem learning and improvements. • Collaborate across engineering teams to improve developer velocity while balancing reliability, security, and cost.

About the role We’re looking for a software engineer to join our small but growing platform team. Platform engineering at Knock is the foundation for everything else we do. Because Knock is built by and for engineers, there’s a blurry line between “platform” and “product.” The product is the platform. The platform team is a specialized engineering team at Knock that designs, builds, and maintains the infrastructure and services needed in order to run our product. They are responsible for the availability and reliability of our service, from API to notification engine execution. They support the product engineering team in their role to build and ship customer-facing features. Knock’s platform engineers orient around measurable goals set by our CTO, and work with a high degree of autonomy to achieve greater scale, resilience, and performance for our customers & partners.
