Account Manager – New Business Development

Pepperl+Fuchs Group

• Identification, evaluation and development of prospective customers in the emerging areas of factory and process automation (e.g., Industry 4.0, digitalization, sensors, machine vision, RFID, HMI & APL) • Strategic development of the customer base and acquisition of new customers • Independent management of the entire sales process from lead generation to proposal submission and the closing of sales orders and projects • Independent planning and execution of customer visits, web meetings and campaigns within the assigned sales region • Assessment of prospective customers with respect to revenue potential, market attractiveness and risk • Participation in regional and cluster meetings within the matrix organization • Continuous improvement of applied research, sales and reporting methods within the 'Mercuri Sales Platform' model • Trade show presence, particularly for innovative products and product launches

Job Requirements

  • Completed degree in (industrial/) engineering or further technical qualification as a technician, with several years of sales experience in automation technology
  • Several years of professional experience in sales or product management
  • Strong technical understanding, especially of emerging topics in factory automation
  • Strong prospecting and negotiation skills
  • High affinity for digital trends, technologies, methods and tools
  • Quick comprehension and willingness to contribute to shaping the scope of responsibilities
  • Pronounced creativity, a proactive working style and strong teamwork skills
  • Business-fluent German and ideally good English skills
