Job Requirements
- 8 + years of software development experience
- strong proficiency in Java (including Java 21) and React
- Cloud experience, preferably AWS
- solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
- experience in modernizing legacy systems
- good understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
- strong hands-on experience with Oracle DB & Postgres DB
- experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- strong sense of self-motivation and organization
- enthusiastic about learning and acquiring new skills
- experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA

Position Summary: We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team working on our cloud-native product suite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, be aware of cloud-native technologies, and have have a willingness to learn new technologies. Roles and Responsibilities: - Contribute to the development of cloud native products and services for our Kubernetes product ecosystem.. - Learn and collaborate with the team to design and implement the product roadmap. - Support Cloud infrastructure deployments using Platform9 products, including troubleshooting and problem resolution. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field. - Excellent programming skills in a major programming language. Role Description As a Backend Software Engineer supporting Slingshot’s development, you will design and build capabilities that will enable our products to help solve satellite owner-operator problems.
