Systems Engineer II

Akamai Technologies

• Designing, implementing, configuring, and deploying Google Workspace, M365, and Slack Enterprise+ environments, including Gmail, Drive, Teams, and SharePoint. • Overseeing implementation and migration projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with established quality standards. • Configuring and managing integrations between collaboration platforms and business tools while automating workflows using REST API, PowerShell, or scripting. • Providing 3rd tier support for all collaboration tools, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues promptly to minimize disruption to users. • Collaborating with IAM and security teams to implement and strengthen security measures and compliance policies across all platforms. • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and FAQs while delivering training sessions to enhance proficiency with collaboration tools. • Monitoring system performance, recommend enhancements, and keep up with the latest technology trends and innovations in the SaaS space.

Job Requirements

  • Have 5 years experience in engineering and a High School Diploma or a Technical Degree in a related field
  • Demonstrate expertise in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise M365 and Google Workspace environments, with essential Slack administration and integration experience.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Google Workspace setup, management, and configuration to ensure seamless system administration and functionality.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Slack functionalities, integrations, and enterprise grid administration.
  • Utilize AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini to streamline tasks, create summaries, draft communications, and analyze data effectively.
  • Have experience with Email migration tools (cloud to on prem, or cloud to cloud)
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
