MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Network Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in these work areas: - Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity - Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including load balancers, routers, switches, firewalls, and networks - Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability - Coordinates hardware and software acquisition - Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks - Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks - Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned - Create and maintain documentation of networking processes WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. The Role The Network Engineer II plays a pivotal role in enhancing network design, optimizing performance, and elevating customer support. They are actively involved in network performance reviews with management, internal partners, and customers, ensuring continuous improvement. By providing technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced engineers, they foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
