Job Description

Procurement Specialist – MSP

Zipdev

• Maintain working relationships with key distributors, including Ingram Micro, TD Synnex, and others, to support timely and cost effective procurement activities. • Monitor pricing, product availability, lead times, and promotional opportunities through ongoing communication with distributors. • Coordinate the purchase of IT equipment such as servers, network hardware, PCs, peripherals, and related technology products. • Track order status, logistics, delivery timelines, and ensure accurate fulfillment of company requirements. • Manage licensing lifecycles for software products such as FortiGate, Microsoft CSP, Duo, Adobe, SSL certificates, and domain registrations. • Maintain timely renewals and ensure adherence to licensing terms and compliance requirements. • Prepare accurate pricing estimates for internal stakeholders and clients using tools such as ConnectWise and CPQ. • Support internal teams by identifying competitive hardware and software options based on company guidelines. • Track hardware warranty periods and coordinate renewals or replacement requests as needed. • Work with vendors to resolve warranty-related issues and minimize operational impact. • Maintain accurate documentation for all software licenses and ensure records remain current and audit ready. • Assist with internal or external reviews involving licensing and usage compliance. • Support the integration and optimization of procurement tools and systems to streamline ordering workflows. • Maintain procurement-related data in platforms such as ConnectWise and ensure accurate recordkeeping. • Adhere to standard operating procedures and escalation protocols. • Escalate complex issues to senior staff as appropriate. • Proactively build skills through experience and training. • Gain proficiency in systems, tools, and standards across client environments. • Accept coaching and feedback from senior technicians and engineers. • Progress toward independent issue resolution over time.

Job Requirements

  • 1–4 years of IT procurement or relevant technical experience (professional, academic, or personal).
  • Experience working with IT distributors such as Ingram Micro and TD Synnex, including familiarity with vendor coordination and product availability tracking.
  • Working knowledge of software licensing practices, including Microsoft CSP, FortiGate renewals, SSL certificates, and Adobe products.
  • Familiarity with quoting and pricing systems such as ConnectWise, CPQ, or QuoteWerks is beneficial.
  • Clear and effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement tasks concurrently and prioritize based on operational needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and well-developed organizational abilities.
