Business Development Manager — Germany, Austria & Nordics
Penumbra, Inc.
• Promote the clinical adoption of innovative aortic therapy solutions through engagement with physicians and key customers • Work closely with Sales and Regional Marketing to implement field marketing strategies and product launches • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and support pre-launch and market development activities • Support market preparation for new products and increase therapy adoption • Analyze market and competitive developments to derive strategic actions • Serve as the clinical and procedural point of contact for relevant data and product information • Support EMEA trainings, workshops and medical education events • Represent the company at medical conferences and industry events • Identify and develop new accounts and expand existing customer relationships • Assess clinical cases for feasibility and provide support for therapy decisions
Job Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences/Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years' professional experience in the MedTech environment in a commercial, clinically oriented, or market-development role (e.g., Field Marketing, Business Development or Clinical Support)
- Experience in vascular or aortic therapies is required
- Clinical understanding of endovascular or interventional therapy environments and experience collaborating with physicians and clinical stakeholders
- Proven track record in therapy adoption, market development or strategic customer engagement
- Excellent German and English skills and a confident, professional demeanor when interacting with clinical and internal stakeholders
- Structured, analytical and independent working style with strong communication and collaboration skills

• Open insurance claims and manage communication with carriers • Request, track, and follow up on medical records and police reports • Monitor lien and subrogation issues, ensuring timely resolution • Partner with lead paralegals to prepare cases for demand drafting • Identify and fix operational bottleneck.
• Open insurance claims with all relevant carriers (liability, UM/UIM, med pay), send letters of representation, obtain claim numbers and adjuster assignments, and manage ongoing carrier communication including acknowledgment follow-up • Request and track policy limits disclosures, medical records, police reports, and other essential case documents; implement systematic follow-up protocols to ensure timely receipt and flag non-responsive parties for escalation • Identify health insurance liens, send required lien notices, monitor subrogation communications, and coordinate lien resolution to prevent settlement delays or compliance issues • Conduct liability analysis from police reports and carrier responses, assess compensability based on available coverage limits, and prepare comprehensive case packages for lead paralegals to draft settlement demands • Analyze workflow inefficiencies in case setup processes, identify automation opportunities, and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time from intake to demand-ready status
