• Handle occasional personal and administrative support tasks as assigned while maintaining professionalism and discretion. • Collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to support case strategy and contribute to favorable outcomes. • Provide occasional administrative support, including scheduling, records requests, and basic real estate related document support as needed. • Draft professional legal correspondence, pleadings, and immigration forms with accuracy and compliance. • Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, explain procedures, provide case updates, and prepare clients for interviews and hearings. • Maintain accurate and well organized digital and physical client files with reliable version control. • Prepare and compile supporting evidence, exhibits, indexes, and complete filing packets for court submissions and USCIS filings. • Manage shared inboxes and support emails, triaging and routing communications appropriately. • Help establish and refine workflows, templates, and checklists for a growing department. • Track deadlines, court dates, filing requirements, and agency notices to ensure timely and complete submissions. • Conduct legal research and monitor changes in immigration law, regulations, and agency procedures. • Assist attorneys in preparing, filing, and tracking immigration petitions, applications, motions, appeals, and briefs before USCIS, EOIR, BIA, and Federal Courts. • Draft, organize, and assemble filings for removal defense, asylum, adjustment of status, waivers, motions to reopen or reconsider, appeals, and humanitarian relief. • Perform research for case strategy, country conditions, and supporting evidence.
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of immigration paralegal experience supporting filings before USCIS, EOIR, BIA, and Federal Courts.
- Strong communication skills.
- Independent contributor who can operate with minimal training while collaborating closely with attorneys and staff.
- Familiarity with Filevine and Go High Level is a plus.
- Handle sensitive client information with discretion and adherence to professional standards.
- Legal drafting excellence with clear, concise, and compliant writing.
- Advanced legal research skills and ability to stay current on agency changes.
- Evidence organization, exhibit indexing, and file assembly expertise.
- Time management with the ability to prioritize multiple matters and meet strict deadlines.
- Team collaboration with a positive, solutions focused attitude.
- Self starter who works with minimal handholding and takes ownership end to end.
