Senior Application Security Engineer

• Conduct regular security assessments, secure code reviews, threat modeling, and penetration testing • Plan and execute security testing for LLM-enabled applications • Assess sensitive data exposure risks and validate compensating controls • Evaluate risks in tool/function calling and recommend mitigations • Design, develop, and implement security tools and automation • Partner with engineering teams to embed security best practices across the SDLC • Assist with investigation and response for application security incidents • Maintain awareness of emerging application and AI security threats
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6–10+ years of experience in application security, product security, penetration testing, or secure software engineering
- Demonstrated experience with secure SDLC practices, threat modeling, secure code review
- Hands-on expertise in web and API security testing and common vulnerability classes
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#)
- Required AI/LLM security experience: prompt injection/jailbreak testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Your mission As our Senior Field Application Specialist you will be responsible for training and supporting our customers on all SOPHiA GENETICS Bundle solutions. Clinical Application Specialist (CAS) is a clinical education role focused on internal and external clinical and educational support. This role also supports broader company revenue growth goals via customer support and education. The CAS position will be responsible for providing training and education to new and existing Sentec users and will work closely with the field sales and marketing organization to support new hire and ongoing sales training and development. Expectations of the role include on-site and virtual education, training and CE and non-CE Presentations, and in-person state and potential national society presentations. Key Tasks - Acts as the subject matter expert for the use of our products in our key market segments to support company revenue growth goals. - Collaborates with the local sales team to coordinate and deliver comprehensive onsite and virtual customer training and education i.e., curriculum, process/tools and programs. - Develops a common understanding of the technology across care providers and articulates the clinical & economic value proposition. - Participates in product evaluations and installations. - Assesses needs and ensures comprehensive education and hands-on training on our products, including maintenance and troubleshooting that addresses all members of the clinical team. - Provides education and training necessary to drive optimal bedside use of the technology in new and existing accounts. - This is a remote position (home-based in the Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, or Orlando metropolitan areas) with the ability to travel overnight (60%+) and work flexible hours.
