Application Security Engineer
Perplexity
• Design and implement scalable, developer-friendly security solutions that integrate directly into engineering workflows • Lead threat modeling, design reviews, and code reviews for new features and major product launches • Build and evolve secure-by-default frameworks for authentication, authorization, input validation, and secrets management • Develop and integrate automated security tooling into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., linters, dependency scanners, policy enforcement) • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to remediate vulnerabilities, and contribute to incident response and postmortems • Own, manage, and improve our third-party penetration testing engagements and bug bounty program, working closely with external security researchers to identify and resolve vulnerabilities • Stay current on emerging threats and attack techniques, and drive ongoing maturity of our application security posture
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Application Security, Product Security, or similar roles
- Deep understanding of secure software development practices, threat modeling, and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
- Familiarity with modern authentication and authorization patterns (OAuth, OIDC, SSO, Zero Trust)
- Proven track record of building secure infrastructure, reusable libraries, or developer tooling
- Proficiency with at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Go, JavaScript, Java)
- Bonus: Experience with securing cloud infrastructure or AI/ML systems

Clinical Application Specialist (CAS) is a clinical education role focused on internal and external clinical and educational support. This role also supports broader company revenue growth goals via customer support and education. The CAS position will be responsible for providing training and education to new and existing Sentec users and will work closely with the field sales and marketing organization to support new hire and ongoing sales training and development. Expectations of the role include on-site and virtual education, training and CE and non-CE Presentations, and in-person state and potential national society presentations. Key Tasks - Acts as the subject matter expert for the use of our products in our key market segments to support company revenue growth goals. - Collaborates with the local sales team to coordinate and deliver comprehensive onsite and virtual customer training and education i.e., curriculum, process/tools and programs. - Develops a common understanding of the technology across care providers and articulates the clinical & economic value proposition. - Participates in product evaluations and installations. - Assesses needs and ensures comprehensive education and hands-on training on our products, including maintenance and troubleshooting that addresses all members of the clinical team. - Provides education and training necessary to drive optimal bedside use of the technology in new and existing accounts. - This is a remote position (home-based in the Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, or Orlando metropolitan areas) with the ability to travel overnight (60%+) and work flexible hours.
