Lead Full Stack Engineer

Sierra

• Lead engineering for one or more initiatives at Sierra. • Architect the stack, write clean code, and work with your teammates to do whatever it takes to ship great products. • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to take products from idea to production. • Help us grow our team and interview future candidates. • Mentor other engineers to level up our team.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year in a lead role
  • Growth mindset: able to quickly learn new languages, frameworks, and more
  • Experience with end-to-end product development, from idea to production
  • Frontend experience: TypeScript, React
  • Backend experience: TypeScript or Python, Node.js or FastAPI
  • Experience with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc)
  • Strong written and verbal communicator in English
  • Ability to accurately estimate timelines and scope
  • Bonus:
  • Experience using AI tools for coding (e.g. Cursor)
  • Experience building products using Generative AI / LLMs (e.g. using OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, etc)
  • Cool side projects that you’d like to show us!
