• Design, implement and lead the extraction, transformation and load (ETL/ELT) process, ensuring data quality, integrity and reliability throughout the transition phase until full decommissioning of legacy systems. • Lead the process of mapping and understanding legacy system data (data model, business rules, volume, quality). • Define and implement the data cutover strategy between databases, considering: - Required transformations - Consolidation, cleansing and standardization rules - Migration strategy (big bang, incremental, parallel, etc.) • Design, develop and maintain data pipelines (batch and/or near real-time) to ensure the new system is continuously fed until legacy systems are decommissioned. • Build ETL/ELT routines to extract, transform and load data across different database technologies and formats. • Ensure data governance: traceability, script/version control, technical documentation and reference data management. • Implement validation, reconciliation and data quality processes (checks, logs, monitoring, auditing). • Collaborate with new system developers, business analysts and infrastructure teams to align migration rules and timelines. • Support the definition of reusable data engineering standards and best practices for future migrations or integrations.
