Field Service Technician
ENERZIX
• This position is responsible for repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and start-ups on various brands and sizes of uninterruptible power systems (UPS). • Perform and adhere to scope of works to conduct Major Preventative Maintenance, or PM (invasive PM by shutting the unit down outside normal operating hours) and Minor PMs (less invasive PM and not shutting down the unit). • Submit Field Service Reports (FSR) accurately and timely for all service activity. • Perform various repair functions such as capacitor and fan replacements on various brands of units and battery replacements as per specifications. • Ability to Interpret or learn to interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools. • Provide start-up and commissioning of UPS • Maintain good customer and vendor relations • Identify through good customer relationships other service or equipment opportunities • Maintain 24/7/365 availability to meet the needs of our customers; weekend work and overnight travel are required on occasion. • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Prior field service work preferred.
- Experience with electronics or an electronic background is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and able to effectively solve customer problems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software and ability to learn additional business applications
- Must be able to travel, possess a valid U.S. driver's license, and be able to pass a drug testing upon hire.
- Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical examination.
