Procurement Specialist

Proalpha

• You are responsible for operational procurement within the Proalpha Group and ensure efficient, economical and compliant processing of all purchasing processes. • You manage the entire procurement process from clarification of requirements through quotation comparison and ordering to invoice verification for IT and other indirect needs. • You obtain quotes, compare terms and conduct price and conditions negotiations in the operational procurement environment. • In close coordination with IT, Facility Management, Controlling, Legal and other departments, you ensure transparent alignment between stakeholders and suppliers. • You support procurement reporting, maintain supplier, order and contract data in our systems (ERP / E-Procurement / where applicable ServiceNow) and use KPIs to make purchasing volumes and optimization opportunities transparent. • With your market knowledge you develop supplier relationships further, identify bundling and standardization opportunities and contribute these to the development of our category strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Completed commercial training or a degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in operational purchasing, ideally in an IT or services environment
  • Experience in operational procurement, quotation and contract management, supplier management, ERP and E-Procurement systems; understanding of IT contracts, licensing models and pricing structures
  • Strong communication skills, assertive, structured and team-oriented, with a drive to actively improve processes
  • Very good German and good English skills for communication in an international environment

Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $33.65-36.54 USD/hourly. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
