Staff Cloud Architect – Delivery

DoiT International

• Build, lead, and manage a strong team of Cloud Architects/FDEs that help customers design, deploy, and optimize production-grade cloud workloads on AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Azure. • Ensure your team serves as the primary technical delivery partner for customers, with a focus on CloudOps/FinOps, reliability, security, and performance. • Act as an escalation point for complex cloud topics and ensure high-quality, well-explained resolutions. • Drive your team to plan and deliver structured engagements such as cost optimization workshops, architecture deep dives, security/reliability reviews, and product adoption sessions. • Shift your team's model from reactive to proactive by driving signal-based outreach (usage, health, roadmap gaps, known risks). • Embed FDEs into account teams and ensure they participate in defined account activities - TKOs, quarterly reviews, objective setting, and customer syncs. • Coordinate with TPOs, CSMs, AMs, TAMs, and other FDEs to deliver measurable impact across customer segments. • Coach your team to become experts in DCI - Cloud Analytics, Insights, Cloud Composer, CloudFlow, DataHub, and Enterprise Platforms such as PerfectScale and SELECT and use these tools hands-on with customers. • Drive your team to embed DCI into customers' FinOps, observability, CI/CD, and governance workflows. • Foster a builder culture: expect every FDE to turn one-off customer solutions into reusable patterns - playbooks, Terraform modules, CloudFlow templates, Composer Recipes, and internal docs or build products alongside our R&D team. • Ensure your team provides structured feedback to Product and Engineering on product gaps, friction points, automation and improvement opportunities. • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. • Mentor and coach FDEs, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations to drive career development and growth. • Drive team engagement, define clear role expectations, and align individual growth plans with the FDE career ladder. • Lead the OKR process for the team, including setting, tracking, and ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ year of experience architecting, developing, and troubleshooting internet-scale, production-grade distributed systems
  • 5+ year of experience in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud with the focus on selecting appropriate tools to tackle the business problem at the right scale
  • Proven people leadership experience
  • Experience with container technologies, e.g. Kubernetes
  • Experience with networking, e.g. TCP/IP, routing, network topologies, and VPN
  • Experience with Linux operating systems administration and internals such as filesystems, system calls.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills in English.
