Role Description Our client is the leader in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) sector, providing the most widely used developmental assessment and curriculum system in the US. They are looking for a talented, innovative and creative Golang Developer to join the platform team. Their Software Engineering team is responsible for building out SaaS solutions used by educational organizations across the globe. The team works on a wide variety of projects, solving existing problems and enabling new business objectives. Their platform is evolving, so you need to be someone who can build new functionality and learn new technologies quickly as well as be able to maintain and extend existing code to support organizational needs. As a Senior Golang Engineer, you will: - Develop new features, components, and modules to support organizational growth; - Implement a robust set of services and APIs to power high-trafficked SaaS platform; - Participate in planning, analysis, and design of new software solutions; - Investigate, troubleshoot, and remedy performance bottlenecks in the application flow; - Learn new technologies and keep up with both traditional and emerging best practices; - Work independently and collaborate with other team members to ensure successful project delivery. Qualifications - Senior level knowledge of Golang; - 8+ years of production experience in software engineering and SaaS product development; - Strong communication and listening skills; ability to communicate complex technical problems, root cause analysis, and propose solutions; - At least Upper-intermediate level of English (B2 or higher); - Experience with designing and building scalable solutions; - Experience with modern design patterns such as SOA and microservice architecture; - Strong knowledge of relational databases (ex. PostgreSQL) and Databricks (a plus); - Excellent debugging and testing skills, and an interest to quickly learn new technologies; - Experience with Agile methodology and software development; - Commitment to following security, accessibility and performance best practices; - Self-starter with strong sense of collaboration, teamwork, and accountability; - Ability to quickly adopt to new environment; - Working knowledge of AWS and familiarity with its services (Kubernetes, Redis, SQS/SNS, etc.); - Experience using AI developer tools (e.g., Codex) is a plus. • Responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of the Epic Reporting, Analytics, and Business Intelligence database platforms • Manages and maintains various ETL activities throughout multiple production and non-production databases and data warehouse environments • Configures and maintains multiple MSSQL databases that service multiple production and non-production environments • Installs and maintains administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of assigned systems • Understanding performance metrics, monitors server performance, and troubleshoots application issues • Installs, updates, and maintains various servers, services, and consoles related to the management of assigned systems • Configures BI application integration with Epic for Single Sign and automated report generation • Manages RDBMS and BI security and logins for different types of access • Configures, schedules, and monitors various ETL functions across multiple data warehouse environments • Troubleshoots and resolves ETL process errors • Utilizes current IT Service Management software to ensure end user and/or infrastructure generated incidents are logged, dispatched, escalated, and resolved efficiently • Maintains accurate service request records for reporting purposes • Follows established guidelines for system change control and system event reporting • Implements approved changes based on priority and updates relevant documentation.

• Design, build and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Python/Django. • Contribute to our React / Typescript frontend when building full user-facing features. • Take end-to-end ownership of product initiatives, from discovery to deployment, monitoring and iteration. • Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code, applying modern testing practices. • Collaborate closely with Product, Data and Design to deliver meaningful product improvements. • Ensure strong observability, performance and reliability across services supporting growth initiatives. • Help instrument systems with the right events and data signals to support product analytics and experimentation. • Participate in architecture discussions and technical reviews, helping raise the engineering bar. • Drive continuous improvement in how we design, test, deploy and monitor our systems.
