Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA or Developer
- Experience with SQL Server (2016/2019/2022)
- Strong experience with database migrations to AWS (RDS, EC2)
- Experience with AWS DMS or similar migration tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
- Knowledge of database monitoring tools (e.g., Foglight)
- Understanding of database performance optimization, HA/DR solutions, and security standards
- Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required
- Candidates must have an active VAT status in the EU VIES registry

Role Description Connection is seeking an Associate Cloud Solution Architect (Assoc CSA) to support the continued growth of our AWS and Google Cloud (GCP) business. This role will play an important part in accelerating cloud engagements, strengthening partner relationships, and helping sales teams move cloud opportunities from early discussions to successful outcomes. Working under the supervision of the Director of Sales Engineering for Microsoft, the Associate Cloud Solution Architect follows a fast-track career development path within the Presales Cloud Solution Architect team. The role supports Sales teams and clients on both new and existing cloud opportunities, providing pre-sales technical consulting and solution design across major hyperscale platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The Associate CSA participates in a structured 3–6 month certification and training track, with mentorship from senior Cloud Solution Architects during the first year. Upon completion of the initial certification track and based on performance, the Associate CSA progresses toward the Cloud Solution Architect role. Currently, AWS is the largest hyperscale cloud provider by revenue, yet Connection has minimal AWS business today. As engagement with AWS continues to increase across our customer base, we are seeking a dedicated resource who can help drive opportunity development, improve solution turnaround times, and support deeper collaboration with AWS programs and teams. Many Connection customers—particularly across manufacturing, healthcare, banking/financial services, and federal sectors—already have a strong AWS presence. This role will help Connection better align with those environments while supporting opportunities across both AWS and Google Cloud platforms.
