Role Description As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will design, build, and optimize business-critical dashboards and semantic models. You will work closely with business stakeholders and data teams to transform raw data into reliable, actionable insights. You will be responsible for the full BI lifecycle, from requirements gathering and data profiling to deployment, support, and ongoing optimization. You will also establish and document standards, data definitions, and KPIs, ensuring data quality, lineage, and adherence to governance policies. In your day-to-day you will be responsible for: - Own the end-to-end BI lifecycle: requirements, data profiling, modeling, DAX/Power Query development, visualization, testing, deployment, and support - Build star and snowflake models in Power BI; design high-performing datasets (Import, DirectQuery, Composite), calculation groups, and incremental refresh - Create robust, consistent measures using DAX; optimize with tools like DAX Studio and Tabular Editor; tune performance (VertiPaq, query folding, aggregations) - Develop clear, maintainable reports and reusable templates aligned to UX best practices and accessibility - Implement governance and security: RLS/OLS, sensitivity labels, workspace/app permissions, certified datasets, deployment pipelines - Integrate with enterprise data sources (Azure SQL, Synapse, Databricks, SQL Server, Snowflake) and collaborate on ETL with Data Engineering (Power Query, ADF) - Support adoption and self-service enablement through training, documentation, and office hours - Monitor and iterate on usage and performance, providing ongoing enhancements Qualifications - 5+ years of experience building Power BI solutions in production environments - Strong DAX and data modeling skills, with deep understanding of filter context, relationships, calculation groups, and performance tuning - Hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query (M), Deployment Pipelines, and Gateway configuration - Solid SQL skills for querying, validation, and performance analysis - Experience with enterprise BI practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD for Power BI (ALM Toolkit), release management, and documentation - Working knowledge of Azure analytics stack (one or more): Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake - Ability to translate business questions into analytical designs; excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Benefits - Great work-life balance with flexible hours - Work from anywhere in North America Company Description We believe in leading our industry, we believe in innovation, we believe in delighting our customers, guaranteeing their success, and ensuring that 100% of our customers are referenceable. • Lead the design and development of Epic analytics content, reports, dashboards, and visualizations for internal users and third parties. • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable business intelligence solutions. • Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand goals, priorities, and use cases, then turn those needs into practical reporting outcomes. • Build and maintain reporting solutions using Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle, along with Power BI and other BI tools. • Use Epic Clarity tables and existing source data to validate client Epic instances and support common data model development. • Create views and intermediate data structures that support dashboard development and long-term reporting scalability. • Collaborate across teams to support integrated solutions, including working with teammates focused on common data models and dashboard delivery. • Write SQL and configure custom metrics and settings to support clear, performant, and reliable analytics solutions. • Review designs, present drafts, and validate outputs with stakeholders to ensure reports meet business needs and data quality expectations. • Troubleshoot complex reporting and data issues during testing, validation, upgrades, and production support. • Maintain analytics catalog metadata, document build decisions and changes, and follow change control and testing processes. • Review Epic upgrade documentation, including Nova Notes, and determine how changes should be implemented. • Mentor team members, contribute to problem solving, and help raise the bar for analytics quality and sustainability across the team.

• Conduct advanced exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden patterns, correlations, and causal drivers within large datasets • Lead deep-dive research into complex business problems to provide stakeholders with a comprehensive understanding of underlying implications • Proactively identify and surface emerging business trends or performance risks to leadership beyond the scope of initial requests • Translate intricate analytical findings into clear, narrative-driven recommendations that influence executive-level strategy • Partner with Go-To-Market (GTM), Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Marketing teams to define the right metrics and analytical frameworks for measuring success • Design and execute statistical methodologies, including hypothesis testing and attribution modeling, to validate business assumptions • Oversee the integrity and logic of data models used for analysis, ensuring high confidence in all reported insights • Mentor the broader analytics community on advanced analytical techniques and evidence-based decision-making • Maintain high-quality documentation of analytical methodologies, assumptions, and data definitions • Support the development of curated data layers by providing requirements that enable deeper, more flexible analysis • Evaluate and implement modern analytical tools and best practices to stay at the forefront of the BI field
