• Cloud Migration: Lead and execute the migration of client workloads to AWS, encompassing assessment, planning, design, implementation, and optimization phases. • Managed Services: Provide proactive monitoring, management, and support for client cloud environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. • Solution Architecture: Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures on AWS, leveraging best practices and industry standards. • Automation & DevOps: Champion automation initiatives, develop and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions, and promote DevOps principles. • Client Collaboration: Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and technical expert. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to optimize cloud environments, improve operational efficiency, and enhance service delivery. • Security and Compliance: Design and implement security measures, including network security, identity and access management, encryption, data protection and adherence to industry compliance standards. • Incident Management: Diagnose and resolve complex cloud-related issues, identify root causes, and address incidents to reduce downtime effectively. Participation in an after-hours, rotational on-call schedule is required to address critical issues as they arise. • Emerging Technologies: Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies, migration strategies, and architectural patterns. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption to enhance cloud architecture capabilities and drive innovation.
Job Requirements
- AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
- Proven expertise in cloud migration methodologies and best practices.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Scripting skills in Python or other relevant languages.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong focus on exceptional customer service.
- Aptitude and desire to work in a highly collaborative, self-organizing, team environment.
- Highly organized & accurate.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or equivalent certification is highly desired.
