What you will do: - Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent custom software and technology projects, ensuring on-time, on-scope, and on-budget completion within the Canvas LMS and related EdTech ecosystems. - Cultivate high-trust client partnerships by providing skilled communication, proactive expectation management, and effective change management throughout project lifecycles. - Drive collaboration and coordination across cross-functional teams—including Solutions Architecture, Engineering, UI/UX, QA, Customer Success, and Sales—to address complex requirements and oversee critical project milestones such as User Acceptance Testing (UAT). - Develop and implement strong risk mitigation, status tracking, and accountability strategies at all stages of project delivery. - Utilize enterprise tools (e.g., Salesforce, JIRA, Smartsheet, Confluence, PSA tools) for detailed project tracking, resource management, and executive reporting. - Build deep product expertise for Instructure’s solutions and act as a strategic consultant for custom development and service opportunities. What you will need to know/have: - 5+ years’ experience as a lead Project Manager in technical and client-facing environments, with a track record of managing custom software initiatives. - Proficiency in both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies, especially within fixed-scope or fixed-fee frameworks. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline. PMP or Scrum Master certification preferred. - Strong technical understanding of software development lifecycles, integrations, APIs, and industry standards such as LTI. - Demonstrated ability to leverage Generative AI tools for automating status reports, documentation, and increasing project delivery efficiency. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. - Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional resilience in fast-paced settings. - Collaborative, adaptable, and experienced in fostering high-performing team cultures. - Prior experience in the LMS/EdTech industry or delivering professional services for custom SaaS solutions is highly desirable. Job Description Summary Reporting to the GSI NAM Commissioning Leader, the Senior P&C Commissioning Lead is responsible for coordinating and supervising all site P&C commissioning activities for GSI NAM projects including safety, quality, and technical requirements.
