Workday Product Owner (Implementation Focused) Location: U.S. (Remote/Hybrid as applicable) Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Workday Product Owner to lead the functional vision and backlog during end-to-end Workday implementations. This role is critical in translating business requirements into scalable, deployable Workday solutions while ensuring alignment with implementation timelines and best practices. The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise, strong stakeholder management skills, and proven experience across full lifecycle Workday implementations. Key Responsibilities Implementation Leadership - Act as the functional owner across the full implementation lifecycle: - Discovery - Design - Build - Test - Deploy - Drive solution design aligned with Workday best practices, minimizing over-customization - Lead design workshops and solution validation sessions Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with: - Functional consultants - Integration teams - Client stakeholders - Act as the primary point of contact for functional decision-making - Serve as an escalation point during deployment and implementation phases Delivery & Execution - Ensure readiness for key milestones: - Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) - User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - Go-live - Own backlog management, feature prioritization, and scope control - Drive alignment between business needs and system capabilities Required Qualifications - 7–12+ years of experience within the Workday ecosystem - Minimum 2–3 full lifecycle Workday implementations (mandatory) - At least 2+ years with a Workday partner organization - Strong functional expertise in one or more modules: - Payroll - Absence - Time Tracking - Financials - Proven experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models - Active Workday certifications with willingness to transfer to E1 - Strong understanding of: - Workday configuration vs. customization boundaries - Implementation methodologies, accelerators, and templates

You will establish a strategy that propels Roundel as a differentiated leader in the advertising industry. You will lead your team to develop a roadmap to achieve this strategy and guide their execution of the roadmap. This includes actively managing, coaching and developing a team through clear expectations, goal setting as well as performance management that focuses on both productizing and operationalizing capabilities. As a product leader you will partner with internal product & technology teams and external vendors. This role will act as a thought leader to anticipate and prepare for long term trends and industry shifts in the evolving landscape of Retail Media Networks and ad-enabled multimedia experiences in eCommerce. As a Product Director, you will set the overall strategic vision for your product space and product team, are accountable for succeeding against identified business outcomes and metrics, will set and manage the product’s budget and financials, set the short- and long-term product goals, and quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). You will be accountable for building, coaching, and mentoring a strong team of product managers while also building a strong team culture of progress, transparency, and efficiency across Product teams. You will be responsible to elevate your collective team’s performance by providing insightful, motivating, and constructive feedback to all roles on the team while also working with senior leadership and peers across pyramids to negotiate and remove execution related barriers for your teams. You will drive product discovery with key stakeholders to validate hypotheses and concepts with customers before committing engineering time, as you lead highly complex work across multiple pyramids, with interrelated specialties. You will leverage data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision making, assess the health and effectiveness of your products and related P&L impacts, and to deliver recommendations to key stakeholders. It will be critical that you possess an understanding of retail or similar areas, relevant technologies and design principles in order to drive innovative and scalable solutions across multiple pyramids within Target.
