Supplier Development Executive

Position Title: Supplier Development Executive Salary Range: Supplier Development Executive (Grade 15, Exempt). Annual salary range: $86,560 – $108,200. This range reflects the minimum to midpoint of the grade. Salary may exceed the midpoint and will commensurate with experience. Senior Supplier Development Executive (Grade 16, Exempt). Annual salary range: $99,200 – $124,000. This range reflects the minimum to midpoint of the grade. Salary may exceed the midpoint and will commensurate with experience. Job Description Summary: The person in this position is responsible for generating revenue by representing Sourcewell’s Cooperative Purchasing contracts. This position is directly responsible achieving profit and margin goals by developing strong relationships with assigned suppliers. This position will develop and execute on plans to increase supplier engagement, ensure organizational embracement, and drive contract and category growth. This position will occasionally represent Sourcewell at internal and external meetings.Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Actively manage awarded contracts for assigned suppliers to achieve P&L goals - Develop business plans to drive contract utilization and supplier embracement of Sourcewell with guidance. - Launch new awarded contracts and onboarding new and existing suppliers. - Maintain proper supplier and contract documentation and manage the process of amending contracts when necessary. - Ensure compliance with awarded contract terms and conditions and the requirements of the Cooperative Purchasing Program Document. 2. Manages relationships with assigned suppliers - Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all appropriate levels of supplier organizations. - With guidance, develop and execute on a sales strategy to increase awareness and embracement of awarded contracts and category growth. - Manage and deliver training on how to best for sell Sourcewell contracts through various in-person and virtual methods. - Ensure that accurate information about Sourcewell contracts is effectively communicated and embraced by the supplier sales management team, dealers, and sales representatives. - Manage the process of supporting suppliers in developing marketing strategies and material to promote market segment, category, and contract growth. - Occasionally attend and present at tradeshows, conferences, internal supplier events and Sourcewell organized events to drive contract growth through increased awareness of Sourcewell. 3. Capture and develop Voice of Customer insights from and for suppliers - Manage the process of capturing insights from suppliers about current and future trends in their industry, general market, and potential agency customers. - Represent suppliers to internal Sourcewell teams to establish strategies, focus Government Relations efforts, enhance procurement processes, and improve other procedures to ensure that our internal efforts allow for sustained growth of contract sales. - Support the Category Development team by providing them with insight about current or future categories and suppliers. - Manage relationships with industry consultants, associations, and publications. 4. Occasionally represents the Cooperative Purchasing team at assigned internal meetings 5. Other duties as assigned Additional Job Description: Required Qualifications - Associate's degree in a related field AND 2 years of experience in sales management, P&L management, business development, account management, client relations/development, or other directly related experience OR A combination of related post-secondary and/or professional education/training and demonstrated relevant work experience equivalent to a total of four (4) years - Public speaking or sales presentation experience - Business process and operational knowledge in sales, customer service, supply chain, and/or procurement - Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills In addition to the above, the Senior Supplier Development Executive required qualifications include: - Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent demonstrated experience - Three (3) years of experience in a sales and/or marketing role Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a related field - Four (4) years of experience in sales management, P&L management, business development, account management, client relations/development, or other directly related experience - Two (2) or more years of public speaking and/or sales presentation experience - Two (2) or more years of business process and operational knowledge in sales, customer service, supply chain, and/or procurement - Sales experience Location: - This is a remote position, and is subject to Sourcewell's telecommuting policies and procedures. - Must be able to meet travel requirements for this position, which is approximately twelve (12) times per year including occasional travel to Staples, MN for meetings, professional development or team activities. About Climate TRACE Climate TRACE is a coalition of over 150 non-profits, tech companies, universities, and individual researchers pooling their expertise in AI, remote sensing, and emissions data to collectively build an open, highly advanced, comprehensive global greenhouse gas measurement system. Each month, Climate TRACE analyzes the emissions of over 745 million emitting assets worldwide. Over the last five years, the project has grown rapidly from a few scrappy volunteers to now the most widely used source of emissions data worldwide. WattTime is the environmental nonprofit that serves as the secretariat of Climate TRACE. We specialize in developing and helping others develop very specific advances in emissions data that make it possible to reduce more emissions, faster, cheaper, and more reliably. Outside of Climate TRACE we are best known for developing techniques used by over 1 billion devices (solar panels, EVs, iPhones, smart thermostats, etc) to increase their impact. About the Role Today, Climate TRACE fundraising is conducted entirely part-time by a group of senior Climate TRACE coalition leaders. We are now hiring for our first full-time role to take our fundraising to the next level. As a results-oriented Development Manager, you will be the primary person responsible for Climate TRACE coalition fundraising. You will build and maintain donor pipelines, support these leaders in following up with written proposals, negotiate foundation grants, build and maintain some donor relationships yourself, and help coordinate a team of individuals working part-time on Climate TRACE fundraising alongside their other responsibilities. A unique aspect of Climate TRACE is that it is a coalition, not an organization. You will need to be comfortable working in a team of people who all support this work part-time on behalf of different employers. What binds us together is our shared commitment to cutting emissions. The ideal candidate is experienced with nonprofit fundraising (environmental nonprofit experience preferred) and can dive in immediately to writing call sheets, proposals, cultivating long-term donor relationships, updating pipelines, evolving strategy based on data, making pitches, and supporting others to do so. This role requires strong execution ability, high productivity, strong collaboration, and strategic thinking.
