Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – OpenStack

Wiit

• Part of the OpenStack team responsible for implementing, operating and further developing cloud services • Development and operation of public and private cloud platforms based on OpenStack • Conducting problem and fault analyses and developing sustainable solutions • Operation of Ceph-based storage clusters using cephadm • Orchestration of all infrastructure services using Ansible • Regular on-call duty

Job Requirements

  • Completed IT education (e.g., Computer Science HF/FH, federal diploma) or equivalent qualification
  • At least two years of hands-on experience operating OpenStack
  • Practical experience with Kolla containers and OpenStack services (Keystone, Glance, Cinder, Nova, Neutron, Octavia, Designate, Heat, Swift, Barbican, Manila and Masakari)
  • Experience with various Linux distributions
  • Experience in networking technologies (BGP, DNS, NTP, load balancing and overlay networks with OVS or OVN)
  • Knowledge of container technologies (Docker or Podman) and SQL databases
  • Familiarity with Ceph, preferably with cephadm and RGW
  • Previous experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation
  • High motivation and eagerness to learn
  • Very good German and English skills
