This role can be fully remote for candidates working within the Eastern Time Zone, or hybrid for those located within a reasonable commuting distance of Norwalk, CT. Job Summary The Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting the month-end closing process, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. The role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial records, supporting audits, and driving process improvements across the finance function. The role sits within Finance Group Shared Services and is responsible for Record-to-Report (R2R) operations within the Charles Taylor US group. The incumbents will be expected to support and work closely with their assigned Finance Team and business partners. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for the financial reporting and accounts of the CT Engineering division. Responsibilities - Performing the month end close, including all relevant balance sheet and other reconciliations. - Support the invoice, collections teams with A/R, AP and other operational items. - Providing case and client analysis on business areas in conjunction with the business leaders and business development team. - Preparing month-end analysis on financial performance and Key Performance Indicators - Posting monthly Journal Entries and ensuring data accuracy in Deltek. - Set up and assist with monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
