Title: Sr. Product Owner – AI Powered Solutions for PLM Platforms Location: Remote: North America, Eastern Time Zone preferred Compensation: $175,000 - $210,000 USD base, plus bonus, plus benefits Job Summary Centric Software is seeking a Sr. Product Owner - AI-Powered Solutions for PLM Platforms to lead the definition, delivery, and value realization of AI-powered capabilities within our core PLM product. This role is a senior, hands-on product leadership position focused on shipping production-ready AI features - not experiments or demos - that deliver measurable customer and business impact. The Product Owner will work across multiple PLM verticals, with an initial emphasis on Formulation (Food & Beverage and Cosmetics), while contributing to broader platform-wide AI capabilities. Operating within a centrally led, company-wide AI roadmap, this role requires strong collaboration with engineering, AI/data science, UX, product marketing, presales, and customer-facing teams. Success in this role is defined by customer adoption, ROI, and commercial readiness. This position reports directly to Product & AI leadership. Responsibilities Product Vision & Strategy • Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for AI-powered PLM capabilities, aligned with company goals and long-term AI strategy. • Identify high-impact opportunities where AI can improve real customer workflows, including discovery, search, compliance, collaboration, and innovation. • Research market trends, competitive offerings, and evolving customer needs in enterprise PLM environments. Research & Discovery • Engage directly with customers, prospects, presales, and internal stakeholders to deeply understand PLM workflows and pain points. • Validate problems and solutions through discovery, prototyping, and experimentation prior to full-scale delivery. • Stay informed on regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements impacting PLM systems, particularly in formulation-driven industries. Product Definition & Execution • Translate customer insights and strategic direction into clear product roadmaps, epics, and user stories. • Own and prioritize the product backlog based on customer value, ROI, and feasibility. • Define acceptance criteria and ensure delivered solutions meet quality and customer expectations. • Lead Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews. AI Delivery & Value Realization • Lead the delivery of customer-facing, production-grade AI features from concept through launch and adoption. • Ensure AI solutions are grounded in real data, operational constraints, and customer workflows. • Define, track, and communicate success metrics such as adoption, productivity gains, time savings, revenue impact, or cost reduction. • Use outcome data to refine priorities, adjust direction, or discontinue initiatives that are not delivering value. • Apply ROI insights to inform pricing, packaging, and commercialization decisions. Hands-On AI Usage & Product Craft • Actively use AI tools as part of daily product work, treating natural language and prompts as first-class product interfaces. • Apply AI to accelerate and improve: – Product discovery and roadmap research – Documentation, requirements, and user stories – UX ideation and iteration – Analysis of product usage and customer data – Creation and validation of synthetic data where appropriate • Continuously experiment with emerging AI tools and incorporate learnings into product decisions. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner closely with engineering, AI/data science, UX/design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions. • Collaborate with sales, product marketing, customer success, presales, and professional services to support positioning, enablement, and adoption. • Serve as the customer advocate throughout the product development lifecycle. Roadmap Alignment & Organizational Collaboration • Align team-level initiatives with the company-wide product and AI roadmap. • Work closely with central AI leadership to ensure local priorities support long-term enterprise strategy. • Communicate value, trade-offs, dependencies, and sequencing clearly to stakeholders. • Coordinate with peer product teams to identify synergies and reduce duplication. Qualifications Required • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in enterprise or SaaS software development. • Demonstrated ability to deliver production features and measure ROI using adoption, usage, and business impact metrics. • Experience operating within a scaled or federated product organization aligned to company-wide strategy. • Hands-on, day-to-day use of AI tools for research, documentation, UX exploration, and data analysis. • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Preferred • Experience delivering AI-powered or data-driven features into production (e.g., intelligent search, recommendations, workflow automation, decision support). • Experience working closely with AI/ML or data science teams to translate capabilities into reliable customer-facing features. • Background in PLM or related verticals such as Fashion, Formulation, Food & Beverage, Cosmetics, Consumer Goods, or Manufacturing. • Experience contributing to pricing, packaging, or commercialization readiness for enterprise SaaS products. • Experience in customer-facing roles such as presales, professional services, or implementations.
