Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing – IT

• Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategies: Lead the creation and implementation of sourcing strategies by analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and leveraging supplier capabilities to achieve cost savings and value creation for the organization. • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers by conducting regular performance reviews, negotiating contracts, and resolving issues to ensure optimal service, quality, and innovation. • Cross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Finance, and Legal, to understand business needs and support project initiatives, and ensure sourcing strategies meet organizational goals. • Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans, monitoring supplier compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and ensuring ethical sourcing practices. • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze spend data, supplier performance metrics, and market intelligence to inform decision-making and provide regular reports to senior leadership on sourcing initiatives, savings, and performance outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 10+
  • Technical Competencies & Information Systems:
  • Strategic Sourcing: Expertise in developing and executing sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Ability to assess, select, and manage supplier performance and partnerships.
  • Cost Analysis & Financial Acumen: Proficiency in analyzing spend data, total cost of ownership, and financial impact of sourcing decisions.
  • Risk Management: Knowledge of identifying, assessing, and mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Project Management: Skills in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex sourcing projects from initiation to completion.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of procurement regulations, ethical sourcing, and compliance standards.
  • Information Systems:
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems: Experience with platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics for procurement and supply chain management.
  • eProcurement Solutions: Familiarity with tools like Ariba, Coupa, or Jaggaer for sourcing, contract management, and supplier collaboration.
  • Spend Analytics Tools: Proficiency in using data analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to analyze spend and supplier performance.
  • Contract Management Systems: Knowledge of systems for tracking, storing, and managing supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for reporting, analysis, and presentations.
