OSP Design Engineer – MDM
Distro
• Analyze as‑builts, redlines, and construction field updates to ensure accurate design records • Design aerial and underground fiber routes for backbone, distribution, and lateral networks • Create splicing diagrams, fiber assignments, and network documentation • Support small cell deployments and high‑bandwidth customer solutions • Maintain and update GIS databases (ArcGIS, ESRI, QGIS) to ensure alignment with real-world conditions • Interpret OTDR fiber traces and assist in break/fix troubleshooting • Collaborate with field crews, splicers, design teams, and internal engineering stakeholders • Ensure designs meet industry standards, engineering guidelines, and best practices
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in OSP Design or similar fiber engineering roles
- Strong understanding of fiber optic networks (FOC)
- Proficiency with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, ESRI, or QGIS
- Ability to interpret as-builts, construction redlines, and technical drawings
- Experience producing splicing documentation and network technical designs
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
