Supervisor, Operations ERM
BCD Travel
• Supervise and support agents in managing crew movements, rotations, and disruptions in a complex, 24/7 service environment • Seek opportunities to review operational processes and the commercial relationship with management team and provide suggestions for improvement • Have a strong understanding of a client travel policy and can appropriately guide and consistently provide consultation to the customer • Develop learning program for closing own short- and long-term competency gaps • Assist the consultants in appropriately responding and resolving customers inquiries • Monitor, sort and work on contact and reservation queues to maintain quality control
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in ERM, marine, offshore, or crew travel operations is required
- Solid working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures and processes
- Ability to supervise and support agents in managing crew movements, rotations, and disruptions in a complex, 24/7 service environment, while ensuring adherence to agreed processes, service standards, and quality expectations across a global operations setup
- Advanced GDS Amadeus skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated excellent professional customer service, coaching, and problem resolution skills
- Strong people management skills

• Freight Coordination & Shipment Management: Plan, schedule, and coordinate shipments via air, ocean, and ground transportation. Ensure smooth execution of shipments from origin to destination while monitoring transit times and delivery deadlines. Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and customer to manage shipping schedules and resolve any issues. Track and update shipment status, providing customers with timely updates. • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and review shipping documentation, including waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. Ensure all import and export documentation meets regulatory and customs requirements. Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate clearance and ensure compliance with international trade regulations. Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs documentation, and freight charges. Operational invoice customers. • Customer Service & Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent customer service and timely communication. Address customer inquiries, provide shipment updates, and resolve any transport-related issues. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to support long-term partnerships. • Problem-Solving & Risk Management: Identify potential delays or issues in freight movement and implement corrective actions. Handle disputes, damages, and claims with carriers and insurance providers. Ensure shipments are properly insured and risk mitigation strategies are in place. • Coordination with Internal Teams: Work closely with sales, pricing, procurement, warehouse, and customer service teams to align freight operations with business needs.
