Job Description

Technical Writer

RQI Partners, LLC

• Create and update RQIP platforms documentation, knowledgebase, and training materials to meet the business needs. • Ensure accurate gathering and analysis of technical and product information from multiple sources. • Maintain up‑to‑date technical and non‑technical materials—including manuals, guides, training content, etc. • Facilitate effective collaboration with technical development and product teams to document issues. • Accurately document solutions and workarounds for both technical and business audiences. • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of organizational system guidelines and manuals. • Deliver training to internal and external users of customer‑facing systems to ensure effective system adoption and use. • Develop training materials such as videos, screen captures, written documents, and knowledge‑base articles. • Partner with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to create high‑quality content when needed. • Serve as an expert or designated subject matter expert for assigned RQIP platforms, integrations, and business processes. • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation and customer‑appropriate communications.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, writing, communications or similar field.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree for otherwise highly qualified candidates.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a technical writer or a related job role.
  • Strong skills in creating process documentation, training materials, and technical content.
  • Excellent English writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Experience with topic‑based authoring tools (e.g., Paligo) and template‑driven content creation.
  • Proficiency in MS Word for large, structured documents.
  • Experience developing knowledge‑base or wiki content.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to work early‑morning EST hours and travel domestically several times per year.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle; experience with Agile or cloud-based products is a plus.
  • Experience using AI tools to create digital media deliverables preferred.
  • Experience developing instructional content for learning management systems preferred.
  • Experience with Jira or confluence preferred.

These include low complexity (e.g. line listing reports; Periodic Adverse [Drug] Experience Reports (PA[D]ERs)), moderate complexity (e.g. Development Safety Update Reports (DSURs), Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs)/Periodic Benefit Risk Evaluation Reports (PBRERs), development Risk Management Plans (dRMPs)), customized safety writing deliverables and regulatory authority assessment report responses) deliverables. - May additionally provide support for scientific safety services on an ad-hoc basis. - Uses multiple PPD and client systems. - Functions in a lead role, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned safety writing deliverables. Exercises independent judgment to troubleshoot and resolve project issues and to identify areas for improvement. Mentors less experienced staff. - Ensures that assigned safety writing and project management tasks are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, contractual agreements and applicable regulations. - Reviews regulatory/pharmacovigilance publications and information sources to keep updated on current regulations, practices and procedures. - Participates in departmental initiatives; Serves as a subject matter expert in designated area. - Performs routine project implementation and coordination activities for assigned safety writing projects (including functional service provider clients), including leading kick-off meetings, managing communications and data requests, participating in client meetings, audits and inspections, and reviewing of metrics and budgets. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or higher scientific degree. - Excellent English – both written and verbal. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office package. - Task based project management experience and experience with interacting directly with clients. - Good understanding and knowledge of aggregate safety report writing guidelines, and clinical trial and post-marketing pharmacovigilance. - Experience of authoring device aggregate safety reports or clinical evaluation reports is preferable, although not essential. - Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in authoring two or more of the following report/document types for medicinal products: - DSURs (Development Safety Update Reports) - PBRERs / PSURs (Periodic Benefit Risk Evaluation Reports / Periodic Safety Update Reports) - PA(D)ERs (Periodic Adverse [Drug] Experience Reports) - RMPs (Risk Management Plans) *Applicants with a minimum of two years' experience in authoring RMPs will be eligible for consideration.
