Technical Product Manager – Data Products & Integrations
AAPC
• Own and manage the data products lifecycle including Data Files, Data APIs, integrations, API management systems, provisioning, and future data and integration products • Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap for Data Products and Integrations aligned with company goals, customer needs, and partner/channel opportunities • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Platform, and Architecture teams to define technical experience and product requirements, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, auditable, and maintainable • Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, Content, Ops, and Customer Success to ensure data products and integrations adoption, engagement, delight, success, and growth • Ensure data products and integrations drive measurable business outcomes and provide first-class access for key internal products that rely on this data product • Conduct customer and market discovery and voice of customer (VOC) research, technical and non-technical, to identify unmet data and integration opportunities as well as channel productization and prioritization • Manage API and integration platform and partner relationships, defining technical requirements, documentation standards, and versioning strategies • Collaborate with engineering teams to plan and prioritize work, balancing technical efforts with new product and revenue growth development • Partner with Marketing and Product Marketing to define go-to-market (GTM) strategies for APIs, data products, integrations, and channel customer value proposition and capabilities • Develop and maintain product documentation, user guides, API specs, and release notes for both internal and external audiences • Support teams with data quality, governance, and compliance initiatives to ensure consistent and accurate data products • Establish and track key data and integration product metrics (availability, latency, data freshness, adoption, usage, compliance, security, etc.) to monitor and improve technical performance and customer value realization • Provide technical enablement for sales, support, ops, and partner teams, ensuring clarity around capabilities, use cases, support, and integrations • Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating complex requirements into actionable deliverables • Operate as a player/coach and relationship builder, strategic when defining direction, hands-on when driving execution and delivering results, always a team player as well as individual driver of growth
Job Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience as a Product Manager, with a focus on technical product management in B2B, SaaS, Data Products, APIs, integrations, and/or ecosystems
- Healthcare industry experience a very strong plus, with deep understanding of EHRs, EMRs, IPaaS, and Marketplace platforms in the healthcare market, their integration capabilities, and product growth opportunities in those channels
- Experience working with API documentation and developer tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, Stoplight, SoapUI, Amazon API Gateway, Azure API Mgmt, SQL, JSON, XML, etc)
- Experience working with IPaaS systems and providers (e.g., Boomi, UiPath, MuleSoft, Zapier, Rhapsody, Friends, Data Motion, etc)
- Healthcare data, education, and educational/learning content platform experience a plus
- Pragmatic Institute, CSPO, and other product certifications a plus
- Strong technical fluency, able to engage effectively in the technical details with engineers, data teams, and architects (comfortable discussing API structures, webhooks, API gateways and management systems, data schemas, cloud infrastructure, data schemas, versioning, etc)
- Experience with B2B SaaS products, data-centric applications, and content/data delivery platforms (e.g., SQL, data platforms, content platforms, reporting tools, LMS/LCMS, SCORM, Schema, etc)
- Familiarity with data models, processes, data governance, and analytics pipelines
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end product lifecycles, from discovery and requirements definition to release and measurement
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience writing technical and non-technical requirements and acceptance criteria
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer and business needs into technical product requirements and deliverables that drive business outcomes
- Exceptional collaboration skills, able to influence without authority across cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of using data to guide prioritization and decision-making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical and non-technical audiences
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
