Key Responsibilities: - Design and own end-to-end architecture for enterprise-grade applications, APIs, and distributed systems. - Engage directly with customers to understand business needs, shape architectural vision, and present solution strategies. - Provide technical leadership across multiple teams; mentor and grow engineers in best practices and career development. - Drive architectural modernization efforts including microservices, cloud-native patterns, and DevOps practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define roadmaps, integration strategies, and long-term platform evolution. - Evaluate emerging technologies and guide adoption through prototypes, patterns, and reusable frameworks. - Ensure application scalability, reliability, performance, and security across the stack. - Lead design reviews, architecture boards, and technical governance processes. - Work across AWS services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, RDS, IAM) and advise on multi-cloud patterns (Azure/GCP as a bonus). - Experience with AI-assisted development workflows (Q Developer, Kiro, GitHub Copilot). Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 15+ years of related technical experience as outlined below: - Software Development: Strong foundation as a hands-on developer (any modern language such as Python, Java, TypeScript, Go). - Architecture: Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native applications. - APIs: Deep expertise in RESTful API design, system decomposition, idempotency, versioning, and integration patterns. - Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS services including compute, storage, network, orchestration, and security. Multi-cloud familiarity is a plus. - Leadership: Demonstrated experience mentoring, leading, and scaling engineering teams. - Security: Understanding of authentication/authorization (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, RBAC) and cloud security principles. - DevOps: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), orchestration (EKS/ECS), and infrastructure-as-code concepts. - Testing: Understanding of unit, integration, and performance testing for large-scale systems. - Experience presenting to executives, clients, or technical stakeholders. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
