• Execute timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, ensuring all journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules are completed and reviewed. • Maintain and monitor the integrity of the general ledger, including review of all entries, accruals, and adjustments. • Oversee inventory accounting across multiple sales channels and warehouses, including reconciliation, COGS, shrinkage, and landed cost analysis. • Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, cash application, and banking activities to ensure optimal cash flow and payment cycles. • Implement and monitor internal accounting controls and standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors to support annual audit and tax filings. • Act as a functional lead for ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), ensuring clean data flows, automation, and accurate financial reporting. • Direct and support accounting staff, including GL accountants and AP/AR leads, through coaching, performance reviews, and ongoing development. • Identify and implement process improvements across accounting workflows to scale with business growth and complexity. • Collaborate with Operations, FP&A, and Supply Chain teams to align accounting with business objectives and streamline financial reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within an e-commerce, retail, or CPG environment.
- Strong experience in inventory accounting within a high-volume e-commerce, retail, or CPG environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).
- Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Proven track record in managing accounting operations, closing processes, and audit support.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in EST/EDT business hours, Monday through Friday.
