Data Manager – Lead

• Own the planning, execution, and delivery of all data management activities across the study lifecycle. • Build and manage data management timelines, resourcing plans, and budgets; ensure on-time, on-scope delivery. • Act as the primary interface between Data Management, Clinical Ops, Biostats, Safety, and external vendors. • Proactively identify data risks, manage issues, and drive mitigation and escalation. • Ensure data quality standards are met and key milestones (interim locks, DBL) are achieved. • Provide clear status reporting, metrics, and decision support to study leadership.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of clinical data management experience in biotech, pharmaceutical or health related industry, managing and coordinating data management related projects is required, with a strong focus on data management and analysis in clinical trials.
- Expertise in complex oncology/hematology studies; recent hands-on experience within 1 year.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field such as data science, biostatistics, or life sciences.
- Expertise in data analysis tools, statistical software, and data visualization techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change in a complex organization.

About the team The Strategic Data Science team provides Airwallex's Leadership with the data, tooling, and insights needed to amplify Airwallex's rapid growth. Learn more about the data science team in this blog What you'll do Responsibilities: - Be the go-to data partner for regional executives - Use causal inference methods to understand how macroeconomic events impact the business. - Leverage AI to generate insights and improve business and team efficiency. - Lead Airwallex's forecasting efforts by 1) building tools that aggregate and evaluate forecasts 2) applying advanced statistical methods to build your own forecasts. - Scope and build data products. In some cases building MVPs, and in others, fully fleshed out solutions. - Mentor junior team members and cultivate an environment grounded in technical excellence, clear communication, and proactive critical thinking. Who you are We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory. Minimum qualifications: - 7+ years industry experience and an advanced degree (PhD or MS) in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, Computer Science, Economics) - Excellent communication skills, ideally with a proven track record of working directly with executive-level stakeholders to influence strategy. - Expertise in causal inference methods and forecasting. - Expertise in data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python, R). - Experience with data architecture technologies such as Airflow, Databricks, and dbt.
