• Build and evolve a design system and component library that scales across rapid experiments without sacrificing consistency, accessibility, or UX quality • Shape frontend architecture patterns that enable AI-assisted development workflows while keeping interfaces reliable, understandable, and easy to iterate • Build right-sized product UX for Labs experiments - from problem exploration and wireframing through rapid prototypes to high-quality beta-ready workflows • Partner deeply with design to translate foundational design principles into codified visual language, interaction patterns, and UX guardrails in reusable primitives and documented standards • Build and own a repeatable experimentation framework (process + tooling) that supports fast prototyping, user feedback loops, and meaningful participation from org-wide contributors • Define graduation criteria for product bets: interface contracts, accessibility baselines, analytics hooks, known limitations, and transition plans • Talk directly with users and internal stakeholders to refine problem framing and validate assumptions early

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years experience shipping customer-facing web products, with significant depth owning design systems or component libraries at scale
  • Strong React and TypeScript skills; comfort owning complex frontend architecture decisions
  • A track record of building functional, tasteful UI with high craft standards, simplifying complex workflows, and articulating why interaction choices work
  • Experience building tools, templates, or frameworks that accelerate other people’s work, including non-engineering collaborators
  • Ability and interest in shaping codebases for emerging AI workflows
  • Ownership of ambiguous, high-impact problems from concept through deployment and iteration
  • Product engineering instincts: you can define problems, simplify scope, and prioritize what creates measurable value
  • Clear written and verbal communication in a remote, async environment
  • A builder mentality and bias to action; you are self-directed and learn quickly in new domains.
