As a Curriculum Developer contractor at Seesaw, you will play a key role in helping us to design exceptional learning experiences for educators, students and families. Strong candidates will have a background in PK-6 education, curriculum design, developing activities in Seesaw, and a professional fluency of English and Portuguese. Your Responsibilities: Projects will include working closely with a curriculum developer to create lessons across a variety of subject areas and grade levels. During this contract, you will help to develop, write, modify, and provide quality assurance for Seesaw lessons that leverage varying depth of knowledge skills. - Curriculum Development in Portuguese and/or English: Support the development of new lessons across various subject areas. Tasks can include but are not limited to: content research, lesson building, lesson plan writing, audio recording, script writing, and more! - Task Management: - Routinely update and share project status with stakeholders using asynchronous project trackers and communication tools. - Translation & Language Support: - Support English/Portuguese translation projects as they arise. Requirements: - We’re looking for someone who is currently working in freelance work, specializing in elementary education. Teaching experience is required. - Fluent speaking and writing in both English and Portuguese is required (Strong preference for familiarity with Brazilian Portuguese.) - Prior experience building activities in Seesaw and collaborating with a team (grade level, school, or district curriculum/subject area team) is preferred. - You are familiar with the elementary education space and are comfortable with a variety of instructional techniques. - You are highly creative and proficient in the Google Suite. - You are precise, detail-oriented, organized, communicative, and able to meet deadlines. - You care about improving education through technology and thoughtful instructional design. - You have the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and business needs. - You have the ability to dedicate 10-30 hours per week over the course of a project, including being available for synchronous meetings with project leads and asynchronous updates. This role will be contracted through a third-party Employer of Record (EOR) partner in the candidate’s country of residence. The EOR will handle payroll, benefits, and compliance with local employment laws. The target compensation for this role is $20-40 USD.
