• Design and build core components of Kerno's validation engine, code indexation, test generation and execution • Work building AI agents that are in charge of test generation and code analysis • Build and improve the platform layer local and/or remote environment orchestration • Own features end-to-end: scoping, design, implementation, testing, and rollout • Collaborate closely with the founding team on technical direction and architecture • Help extend language and framework support as we grow beyond our current stack • Contribute to the reliability and performance of a system that developers depend on for fast feedback

• Design and develop scalable backend systems using PHP, Node.js, and TypeScript • Build and maintain APIs using REST, GraphQL, and gRPC • Lead backend architecture discussions and define engineering standards • Design systems from the ground up and scale existing systems safely • Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka • Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and DynamoDB • Deploy and manage services on AWS or GCP • Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes • Contribute to AI-enabled product development and AI-ready backend design • Mentor developers and enforce backend best practices

In the Music Mission, we build the tools and services that enable creators to express themselves, promote their work, and connect with fans. Discovery Mode is a key promotional tool that helps artists, labels, and licensors grow their audience while maintaining a high-quality listener experience. We are looking for a Backend focused engineer to join the OASIS team. OASIS builds and operates the systems that power promotion delivery and optimization within Discovery Mode. Our work ensures that promotional content isn’t just "surfaced", but is intelligently allocated by balancing complex, competing objectives across our entire ecosystem. The team is distributed and highly collaborative, working closely with Personalization (PZN) to serve high-quality promotion signals. You’ll be part of a small, impactful group of engineers across data and machine learning, owning a core piece of infrastructure that enables promotion delivery at scale. For this role, you can be within the North America region as long as we have a work location. - This team operates within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration. The United States base range for this position is $125,562- $179,374 equity.
