Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field
- May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of experience in technical service or PCB fabrication
- Familiarity with PTFE and hydrocarbon based printed circuit board laminate and bonding materials as well as circuit board processing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical individuals
- Verbal and written English language proficiency is required

Role Description The District Field Technician serves as the primary field-level technical expert and support resource within an assigned geographic district. This role is responsible for resolving customer escalations, quality issues, and completing hands-on installations weekly to support capacity, quality assurance, and field standards. Site Superintendent Status: Exempt (salaried) Department: Hydrogen Location: Remote California, Oregon, and Washington, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona Position Summary The Site Superintendent is responsible to provide on-site coordination for all phases of Plug Power’s construction and commissioning process for hydrogen fueling infrastructure systems. The position will include coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that provisions are being executed properly and that all work is being completed in a timely manner and within budget. This position will work with the internal Plug Power project team, the industrial gas companies, permitting agencies, contractors, suppliers and the end-customer to ensure a smooth transition during hydrogen fuel cell deployments. The ideal candidate should possess a blended background of civil, mechanical and electrical construction management experience and must be willing to travel and stay as required to deployment locations; up to 100% of the time. Core Duties and Responsibilities - Provide on-site support for construction project activities: oversight of construction crews, industrial gas companies, permitting agencies, contractors and suppliers. - Uphold schedule of all construction activity on jobsite and make changes necessary to ensure deadlines are met. - Maintain a daily log (electronic) of all activities on jobsite. - Manage daily reports regarding progress of site and report back to Project Manager. - Ensure budgetary parameters are being met and within approved range. - Enforce good construction standards and quality control. - Plan and review project priorities with the Project Manager including quality control procedures, safety and security practices, field office location and layout, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment, manpower and other elements as needed. - Maintain a safe jobsite and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced. - Hold job site meetings, raising relevant issues, and enforcing safety and quality standards for entire construction crew. - Identify vendor or subcontractor non-compliance with any safety, health or quality standards; escalate issues as needed for resolution. - Coordinate all required municipal inspections. - Identify any issues with construction timelines and progress, work with Project Manager to resolve. - Communicate regularly with internal project team members and end-customers in order to clarify project expectations and meet commitments. - Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions. - Perform all other duties as assigned.
