Senior Project Engineer
LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and customers. • Respond to RFIs, identify technical gaps, support meetings, and coordinate design changes and clarifications. • Support pre and post-award contract reviews to identify technical requirements, deliverables, and compliance risks. • Ensure all requirements are tracked and planned for timely submittals. • Review product documents, drawings, and reports to become a technical expert and efficiently identify and resolve design, installation, and operational issues. • Develop project-specific Bills of Materials (BOMs) and coordinate technical requirements and approvals with vendors. • Create commissioning and test plans based on contract requirements, support Factory and Field Acceptance Testing (FAT/FIT), and assist with troubleshooting during commissioning. • Track technical issues, prepare weekly technical reports, prepare technical submittals, and create acceptance test reports for customer approval. • Be familiar with industry standards and best practices. Identify product or project non-compliance and safety issues based on project location and design. • Coordinate project network design between internal (Software and Network teams) and external stakeholders. • Contribute to developing and updating process by participating in lessons learned reviews, identifying process gaps and suggesting improvements to project engineering workflows.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy storage, power systems, or industrial electrical project engineering.
- Knowledge of energy storage systems, including batteries and inverters.
- Experience with project engineering processes, including technical document control, vendor coordination, and submittal preparation.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, SCADA systems, and network infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, UL, NFPA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed for site assessments, commissioning support, and customer meetings.
