• Design and develop new Magento 2 modules, features, and backend services • Maintain and extend existing Magento 2 applications with clean, scalable code • Implement custom e-commerce logic and contribute to solution architecture discussions • Integrate Magento with external systems (ERP, PIM, CRM, payment gateways, shipping providers, etc.) • Work with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and ensure robust data flows across the ecosystem • Optimize backend performance, database queries, and caching layers • Ensure high availability, security, and reliability of Magento-based solutions • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions • Collaborate closely with frontend developers, QA, architects, and business teams • Work in Agile teams (Scrum / Kanban) and contribute to technical planning • Translate business requirements into technical solutions • Support estimation, documentation, and architectural decision-making
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial experience working with Magento 2 backend (development, customization, integrations)
- Strong understanding of Magento 2 architecture, backend services, and extension development
- Practical experience with headless commerce, modular architectures, and API-driven integrations
- Expertise in PHP, Magento 2 backend development, and custom module creation
- Solid understanding of MySQL, query optimization, and database performance
- Strong experience with REST/GraphQL integrations
- Knowledge of caching, indexing, and performance tuning in Magento
- Awareness of secure coding standards and best practices
- Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and clean architecture
- Proactive problem-solving and ownership mindset
- Ability to communicate confidently in English
