Role Description The System Manager – Contracting ('Contact Manager') is responsible for contract management to include reviewing, analyzing, drafting and managing contracts in accordance with company policy and stakeholder specifications. The Contract Manager identifies and utilizes comparative data including market information and industry standards to make cost/benefit determinations in evaluating proposed contract terms relative to business needs. This position requires negotiation skills, independent judgment and ability to identify and resolve business issues. - Lead RFI/RFPs, negotiations, and contracting for a particular spend category. - Partner with the CSH Legal Team to address proposed contract terms that deviate from CSH standard. - Develop new policies or contract templates, and improve contracting processes. - Collaborate with the category team or other key stakeholders to develop contracting strategies. - Develop and lead the category RFI/RFP processes: prepares complex solicitations and reviews specialized and/or non-routine proposals, bids, and contract modifications. - Lead negotiation efforts. - Manage internal communications across category team and work with key stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Finance, Operations, etc.) collaboratively. - Understand the business case and financial/analytical issues; work closely with the Data Analytics team for data needs and data collection efforts. - Analyze significant and/or unique contract requirements and special provisions while working with legal to ensure terms and conditions are compliant with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedures. - Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators that are measurable to ensure vendor compliance with contracting terms and conditions, ensuring that projected contracted value is captured and maintained. - Participate in business review processes including evaluating vendor compliance with contracts and enforcing vendor rebates. - Interact with internal and external stakeholders and vendor personnel to address contractual concerns, requirements, and ensure risk management, quality, and CSH legal terms and conditions are maintained through a contract’s life-cycle. - Partner with Contract Management team to manage pipeline of contract expirations. Qualifications - Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Business/Healthcare Administration (or other similar). - Minimum of three years of contracting and/or supply chain experience with evidence of progressive, increasing responsibility. - Experience with and literate in supply chain computer applications, Microsoft Office applications, Google tools, and user knowledge of each to achieve Supply Chain goals. What you’ll do - Supplier Relationship Management: - Act as the primary point of contact between the company and its suppliers post PO award. - Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers. - Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to suppliers. - Collaborates closely with the Procurement Director to align supplier follow-up activities with strategic sourcing objectives and ensure seamless communication throughout the supplier relationship management process. - Order Tracking and Coordination: - Monitor and track the status of orders to ensure timely delivery. - Follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules, and any issues that may arise. - Update internal stakeholders on order progress and expected delivery dates through SAP and Symbotic standard reporting tools (Allocation Reports). - Issue Resolution: - Identify and address any supply chain disruptions or delays. - Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, quality issues, or other concerns. - Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to avoid future issues. - Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain accurate records of supplier communications, orders, and performance metrics. - Prepare and analyze reports on supplier performance and delivery metrics. - Provide recommendations for process improvements based on analysis. What you’ll need - Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. - Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain or expediting - Previous experience in logistics coordination, preferably with a focus on expediting. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office suite. - Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures is a plus. - Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure. - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. What You Will Do The Manager, Supplier Quality is responsible for executing and advancing the company’s supplier quality and raw material risk management programs across a global supply chain. This role leads supplier onboarding, audit execution, and ongoing supplier performance management for protein and ingredient suppliers, ensuring alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and brand expectations. This role partners closely with Procurement, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to support supplier selection, qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives. As a key field-facing leader, this role requires extensive domestic and international travel to assess supplier capabilities, build strong relationships, and ensure consistent execution of food safety and quality programs across the supply base. Who You Are - Minimum of 5+ years of experience in food safety or supplier quality within the USDA-FSIS regulated meat and poultry industry. Experience in slaughter or primary processing environments preferred. - Strong working knowledge of USDA-FSIS regulations is required; working knowledge of FDA food regulations is preferred. - Strong experience with HACCP, FSMA, and GFSI-recognized audit schemes. - Strong understanding of raw material risk, supplier specifications, and protein variability - Familiarity with supplier management systems such as TraceGains or similar. - Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence suppliers and drive corrective actions. - Demonstrated ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred. - Ability to travel 50–70%, including domestic and international travel.
