As we continue to scale, we are looking for an Accounting Manager who wants to play a key role in building the financial infrastructure that supports that growth. This is not a maintenance role — this is an opportunity to help shape accounting processes, drive efficiency, and partner cross-functionally in a fast-moving SaaS environment. About K1X K1X is the leading data distribution platform for alternative investments, delivering the first fully digital K-1 experience for institutional investors, funds, and accounting firms. Our mission is to modernize and digitize the K-1 ecosystem through AI-powered technology that replaces outdated, manual workflows. The Opportunity As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for owning and improving core accounting operations while helping the company scale responsibly and efficiently. You’ll work closely with Finance leadership and partner across teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and continuous process improvement. What You’ll Do Revenue Recognition and Billing - Support order review and invoicing processes in alignment with ASC 606 for subscription-based revenue - Partner with Sales and Client teams to ensure accurate and timely billing Month-End Close and Financial Reporting - Own and improve month-end and year-end close processes - Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules - Assist in the preparation of financial statements Accounting Operations - Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and collections processes - Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger SaaS Metrics and Analysis - Support tracking and reporting of key SaaS metrics including MRR, ARR, churn, and NRR - Partner with Finance leadership to provide insights that support decision-making Compliance, Audit and Tax - Ensure compliance with US GAAP - Support annual audit processes and external reporting requirements - Assist with tax filings including 1099s and sales tax Process Improvement and Automation - Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting workflows - Help scale systems and processes to support company growth Cross-Functional Partnership - Collaborate across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data - Support a strong culture of accountability and operational excellence

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or a high-growth environment
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with experience in ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite and strong Excel skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a remote environment with strong communication skills
  • CPA preferred but not required

Reporting to the North American Controller, you will lead accounting operations, strengthen controls and compliance, and partner with business leaders to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. The Sr. Accounting Manager at GVR will report directly to our North American Controller. This is a remote position; however, candidates will be expected to visit our Greensboro and Raleigh, NC locations regularly. Key responsibilities • Lead the execution of the monthly financial close process including review of journal entries, oversight of account reconciliations, and review of account fluctuations from historical actuals and forecast • Prepare financial information for consolidation into overall GVR and Vontier results • Lead the successful completion of internal/external audits and SOX compliance • Lead the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls, procedures, and remediation plans • Partner with other GVR team members to ensure all processes are appropriately documented and accounting policies and procedures are followed • Proactively seek opportunities to improve financial performance through reduced business expense, improved cash flow, and near & mid-term business decisions. • Drive a myriad of process improvement initiatives focused on the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function at GVR by eliminating lower value, manual processes through simplification and root cause investigation • Develop and coach junior team members • Liaise with other functions to grow accounting mind share with key stakeholders and find resolutions beneficial for both the business and the accounting operations • Lead ASC606 deferred revenue review and recognition What we’re looking for (qualifications) • Accounting (or finance) undergraduate degree; CPA required • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing environment. • Experience managing 3-5 direct reports • Ability to understand balance sheet accounts, their relationship with the P&L and business activities to ensure that accounting transactions comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Proven professional with understanding of accounting theory, current accounting issues, and accounting systems. Experience with SAAS a plus • Hands on experience with SOX including documentation of control structures and assessing design and operating effectiveness of controls • Demonstrated success coaching and mentoring team members for career growth • Working knowledge of consolidation and management reporting systems including process flows of ERP systems • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively within all levels of the Company including those outside of the accounting function. • A proven track record in managing projects, meeting deadlines, and working collaboratively as part of a team • Experience and comfort being the primary contact for external auditors; able to interpret requests and provide deliverables to ensure an efficient audit • Demonstrated leadership capability and a strong desire to advance in your career through stretch assignments and personal growth • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles or six sigma (DMIAC) a plus The base compensation range for this position is $125,000-$140,000 per annum.
