As a senior member of Huron’s Research Office team, you will negotiate and prepare clinical research study contracts that include Confidentiality Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Clinical Trial Agreements, Nonconforming Subcontracts, Master Service Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, and Data Transfer Agreements. Required - U.S. work authorization is required - Huron requires a bachelor’s degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience. - A minimum of 3 years of experience in research administration, and/or legal-rated experience, with contracts Preferred: - Advanced Contract Management Skills: Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, high-stakes contracts, including Clinical Trial Agreements (CTA). Mastery in contract law, particularly in research agreements, with a systematic approach from redlining to finalizing. - Strategic Communication and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to strategically communicate intricate contract details and negotiation outcomes with clarity and precision. Experience in setting clear expectations and addressing potential concerns proactively. - Analytical Skills for Contract Analysis: Deep analytical skills to dissect, interpret, and effectively manage complex contract clauses. - Relationship Management: Strong track record of building and maintaining collaborative relationships with diverse groups, customizing approaches based on client dynamics and situational needs. - Process Improvement and Resilience: Experience in embracing and leading change for continuous process improvement. Resilience in handling unexpected demands and sudden changes in contract negotiations and workflows. - Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with federal regulations related to clinical research, including NIH regulations covering NIH-funded inventions. Experience in research or healthcare compliance. - Administrative Experience in Research Settings: Experience working in an administrative or business office of a university, hospital, or research institute, particularly in roles involving complex contract management. - Leadership and Training: Demonstrated leadership in ensuring stakeholder alignment and training activities. Ability to mentor and develop technical skills in others. - Project Management and Efficiency: Proven capability to balance multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently. Demonstrated ability to maintain high utilization and throughput targets without compromising quality. - Innovation and Industry Best Practices: Engagement in practice development projects and staying abreast of new industry trends and contractual nuances. Contribution to aligning the organization’s point of view with industry best practices. The estimated base salary range for this job is $95,000 - $130,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $106,400 - $153,400. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
