Escrow Specialist

Allied Solutions LLC

The Escrow Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of loan collateral coverage through extensive knowledge of mortgage escrow, insurance types, and regulatory requirements. This role involves detailed verification processes, workload support, and adherence to departmental standards. In this role, you will be responsible for making outbound calls to insurance agents and regional offices, as well as utilizing electronic resources such as websites to verify/obtain/key premium renewal coverage. Additionally, this position requires a strong understanding of reviewing historical data and various coverage types related to escrow premiums. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Verifications/Research – 70% - Read and understand insurance documents for real estate (flood, commercial, and condos) in loan history, to perform the correct task that is needed for that loan while following lender particulars and maintaining compliance regulations). - Review loan history and research what actions are needed to effectively obtain key renewal premiums. - Analyze loan level files and policies and procedures on behalf of Allied and our clients. - Review and analyze servicing reporting for escrow advances, lender placed insurance, and fee research. - Accurately verify, key, and/or memo insurance information in relation to all escrow product/coverage types (windstorm, hazard, wind, etc.). - Ensure remittance accuracy to prevent payment delays or rejections. - Update loan history based on research and documentation received (either written or verbal). - Report learning opportunities to upper management. - Conduct mortgage outbound calls to Insurance Agents/Regional offices or utilizing various electronic means such as websites for verification of loan collateral coverage. - Conduct web inquires to insurance companies to verify insurance and process the escrow work queue images with accuracy while meeting or exceeding department benchmark. - Communicate errors or additional verification needed to lender point of contact in order to key premium. Workload Support – 20% - Escalate system related issues to leadership. - Assist supervisor with special projects. - Answer questions, correct errors, and resolve discrepancies. - Performs other duties as assigned. Professional Development – 10% - Provide guidance to employees in the organization. - Utilizing AHA platform, identify, address and communicate gaps in processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. - Assist with training new team members. Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA): - High School Diploma required. - 1-2 years of directly related work experience required. - Ability to meet the department goal of achieving standard department success rates. - Ability to be able to multitask to assist the department in meeting our department SLA’s . - Receive meet standards or above on monthly audits. - Must have extensive knowledge in Mortgage Escrow. - Use of clear, concise, and effective oral communication; accurately composes written materials as required by the position. - Handle confidential information in a responsible manner. - Ability to convey thoughts in a focused and concrete manner. - Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems. - Adaptable to change and has the ability to make independent decisions. - Ability to prioritize and has strong organization workflow skills. - Ability to meet service level expectations. - Ability to multi-task, to maximize efficiency and follow through to completion. - Data entry and keyboard knowledge. - Ability to work independently and within a team environment to complete work assignments and meet department goals. - Professional interaction with employees, peers and customers required. - Ability to receive and provide feedback with a respectful approach. - Ability to present ideas and input to assist in workflow improvements. - Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure.
