Job Description

Software Engineer

WEX

• Deliver high-quality, production-ready software without guidance • Lead design sessions and drive architectural decisions • Mentor SDE I and SDE II team members • Analyze existing systems to identify bottlenecks and technical debt • Support production applications with advanced observability • Champion and enforce engineering standards including TDD, BDD, and Microservice Architectures • Serve as a primary code reviewer • Integrate AI/ML workflows into the SDLC • Proactively implement improvements to service performance and system health.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; OR demonstrable equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering
  • Proven ability to deliver complex software features from concept to production without supervision
  • Strong ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong proficiency in Angular and/or React
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs
  • Proven track record of writing comprehensive unit tests and test suites
  • Strong understanding of software security principles and OWASP guidelines
  • Proficiency with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience in writing performant stored procedures and functions
  • Experience in developing Cloud-Native applications and services.
