Job Description
Senior Manager, Health Policy and Value-Based Care Adoption
Innovaccer
• Design and deliver ongoing education on VBC and other core health policy developments, model requirements, and program updates for Innovaccer's ACO and provider customers. • Translate federal register notices and model guidance into plain-language materials with clear operational implications. • Run scalable programming (webinars, office hours, quick-reference guides) that keeps customers current and confident. • Monitor federal health policy developments with a focus on what they mean for customers participating in accountable care models and other federal programs. • Produce timely analysis of proposed and final rules and model updates, briefing both customers and internal teams. • Flag and communicate policy shifts that affect model participation, quality reporting, and financial benchmarks. • Represent Innovaccer in CMS and HHS stakeholder engagement and maintain working relationships with program staff. • Work closely with Innovaccer’s health policy consultants in DC, leveraging their connections and advocacy on our behalf. • Facilitate feedback loops between our customers' on-the-ground experience and CMS program leadership. • Support customers through model application processes and ongoing program requirements. • Track customer participation in CMS models and value-based care programs as a core success metric. • Identify customers who would benefit from expanding their participation and support their enrollment in partnership with the customer success team.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare policy, with direct knowledge of CMS value-based care programs and CMMI models.
- Experience working on VBC model implementation or participation from the provider, health system, ACO, or vendor side, not only from a government or advocacy role.
- Ability to translate complex policy into practical guidance that non-policy audiences can act on.
- Existing relationships with CMS or CMMI staff, or a demonstrated track record of building federal relationships in a prior role.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced tech or startup environment, managing multiple workstreams with limited structure.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, across audiences from C-suite to operations staff. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as an individual contributor who leads with influence across multiple teams.
- Experience designing or running education or training programs.
Benefits
- Generous Paid Time Off: Recharge and relax with 22 days of fixed time off per year, in addition to company holidays—because we believe work-life balance fuels performance.
- Best-in-Class Parental Leave: Spend quality time with your growing family. We offer one of the industry’s most generous parental leave policies to support you during life’s most important moments.
- Recognition & Rewards: We celebrate wins—big and small. Get rewarded with monetary incentives and company-wide recognition for your impact and dedication. Your hard work won’t go unnoticed.
- Comprehensive Insurance Coverage: Stay covered with medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 100% company-paid short- and long-term disability and basic life insurance. Optional perks include discounted legal aid and pet insurance.
