Job Description
Director of Experience Design
Bizee
Please note: Applicants will be required to submit a portfolio as part of the application. About Bizee Bizee (formerly Incfile) has helped over 1 million entrepreneurs start and run their businesses. We're transforming from a transaction-focused formation business to an AI-powered operating system for entrepreneurs. We champion the everyday entrepreneur. We believe in self-determination, grit, and earned success. No fluff, no jargon, no pretense. We work hard, ship fast, and let our products speak for themselves. We are seeking design leaders who embody these values and are eager to define the visual and interactive language across all customer touchpoints. Join us in shaping the operating system that will power the next generation of American businesses. What Makes Working Here Different - AI-Native Design: AI isn’t a bolt-on; it’s our core. You’ll lead the design of AI-driven interfaces that personalize customer experiences and make complex business operations feel intuitive. - High Agency, High Impact: You own the design vision. We don't do "pixel-pushing" from the top down; you identify the design patterns and UX improvements that drive customer satisfaction and long-term retention. - Greenfield Opportunity: We're rebuilding our customer experience stack. You’ll define the design strategy for how entrepreneurs experience, use, and continue to gain value from their business services. The Role You will be the visionary Director of Experience Design, responsible for defining the strategy and leading the execution of design across the entire Bizee ecosystem. Your role is pivotal in ensuring brand clarity at every touch point, spanning both our web presence and product experience. You will own the holistic customer experience, ensuring a cohesive, high-quality design language is applied across all touchpoints, from initial awareness to complex in-app service consumption. This is not a "style guide manager" role. You are a business-minded, hands-on design leader obsessed with customer psychology, brand consistency, and service design. You will partner deeply with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to build flexible, scalable design systems that enable rapid experimentation and brand consistency. You will be a key design contributor influencing the broader executive team on brand experience and user-centric strategy. What You'll Deliver In your first 6-12 months: - Unified Design System: Launch a scalable, AI-ready design system that ensures consistency across all customer-facing touchpoints (product, brand, and marketing). - Brand and Web Creative Direction: Partner with Marketing and establish a creative direction and visual standards for all marketing campaigns, brand assets, and the Bizee corporate website, ensuring they align with the core product design system. - Onboarding UX Re-architecture: Partner with Product to redesign the post-purchase experience, ensuring high adoption and a measurable reduction in early churn. - Member Center Experience: Lead the design of a proactive "Member Center" that empowers entrepreneurs to manage their services and recognize value easily. - Continuous UX Optimization: Partner with Platform Engineering to run weekly A/B tests on UI elements, onboarding flows, and in-app support triggers. - Customer Sentiment Design: Integrate design-led feedback loops (CSAT/NPS) into the product experience to ensure we are meeting the psychological needs of our users. - AI-Driven Interface Patterns: Deploy new design patterns for interacting with AI-powered features, increasing long-term engagement and trust.
Job Requirements
- What We're Looking For
- Hands-On Design Mastery: You’ve been the primary, hands-on design contributor for complex SaaS or subscription lifecycle platforms, consistently delivering high-impact, measurable results.
- Holistic Design Leadership: Proven experience leading design initiatives that span product, brand, and marketing, with a track record of driving a unified customer experience.
- Strategic Design Thinking: You don't just create beautiful screens; you understand service design, user psychology, and how design choices impact churn and LTV.
- Technical Fluency: You understand the constraints and possibilities of modern front-end frameworks, APIs, and how data flows through a service design stack.
- Data-Informed Design: You live in the customer journey. You use Mixpanel, Amplitude, or user research to find the "why" behind low engagement and use those insights to drive design iterations.
- Experimental Mindset: You believe in shipping fast, failing small, and doubling down on winning design patterns.
- Entrepreneurial Grit: You’ve likely started something yourself or thrived in high-growth, ambiguous environments.
- Agency Collaboration: Experience or comfort level working with external design agencies to deliver projects.
- What Will Make You Stand Out
- You’ve led a design initiative that measurably improved a key business metric (e.g., reduced churn by 10% or increased conversion by 20%).
- You have a strong opinion—backed by work—on the future of "AI-driven UX" and proactive service delivery.
- You can demonstrate how you’ve used AI tools (Figma AI, Midjourney, etc.) to accelerate your design discovery and prototyping process.
- You’ve designed for the "Prosumer" or SMB space and understand the unique psychology of the small business owner.
- What We Don't Care About
- Prestigious company names on your resume.
- Formal design or BFA degrees (show us your portfolio and results).
- Years of experience (show us your impact and velocity).
- Polished "corporate" personas (we want authentic, high-output leaders).
